Hello, I am Dr. Brittany Johansen and I would love the chance for you to get to know me more. I happily hold many roles as a mother, wife, dentist, and friend. I am proud to offer compassionate patient centered care in my role as a dentist. Dentistry is rewarding for me in many ways, especially creating lasting patient relationships.
My dental journey started back in second grade, when I decided I wanted to be a dentist, not many people can say they fulfilled their career goals made in the second grade. I went on to graduate honors at Ankeny High School, then on to BYU to earn a BS in Exercise Science (like Dr. Pitts, only later) and minored in Chemistry. After BYU I attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics, where I held many positions of leadership. I went on to complete a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from Idaho State University. All of my training has prepared me to comprehensively treat each patient to help improve not only their oral health, but overall health as well.
I practiced in my hometown in Iowa for 5 years prior to moving back to Utah. Utah holds a special place in my heart, a place where I grew up as a child and later in life met my husband while attending BYU. We now have 3 beautiful children, Spencer, Cameron and Ellie. We enjoy being closer to family and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. We like to go camping and hiking and love all that Utah has to offer.
Dr. Brittany Johansen is a proud member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Physiologic Dentistry and Medicine, Foundation of Airway Health, a Myobrace certified provider, and a Vivos Integrated Provider.
